Testimonials

On 1/23/2025 Kevin O'Halloran had this to say:
Rod and his crew provide amazing service and have worked on all kinds of residential and large pole barn overhead doors for us over the last 15- 20 years. He answers the phone and gets the job done. Period! His prices are fair and his work is total quality. I can't say enough good things about him. A+

On 10/28/2024 Judith Neumiller had this to say:
Called him at 10am, he was on a ladder, had to call me back. Called back within 10 minutes. The coil was broke on the garage door. He said he would be there before Noon. Arrived at 11am, was repaired within 20 minutes. Great job, reasonable rate, and NO sales gimmicks or maintenance levels to discuss, unlike his local national competition. Straight and honest repair! Thank you! Testimonial written by Judith Neumiller on this site.

FAQ

Why is my garage door not going down?
If your garage door isn't closing and the opener light is flashing, it's likely that your photo eyes are misaligned. Photo eyes are safety sensors that ensure nothing is blocking the door's path. Here's how to check and fix the issue:

1. Check for misalignment: Hold constant pressure on the wall panel to override the photo eyes. If the door still doesn't go down, it's a sign the sensors are misaligned.

2. Align the photo eyes: The photo eyes must be aligned directly at each other. Look for steady lights on both eyes. If the lights are flickering or off, the alignment needs adjustment.

3. Adjustment: Photo eyes can be adjusted in or out, or up and down. Most models have a small thumb screw that can be loosened to make adjustments. Once properly aligned, tighten the screw. Some models might require you to gently bend the photo eyes by hand.

4. Locate the photo eyes: If you're unsure where the photo eyes are, they are usually located on either side of the tracks, about 6 inches from the ground. They may be clipped to the track or mounted on the side of each track.

After realigning the sensors, make sure both photo eyes have steady lights. This should resolve the issue, and your door should function properly again!
How do I lock the door back down after manually pulling it up?
Locking the garage door back down after manually pulling it up, especially during a power outage, can be a bit tricky. Sometimes when you pull the door down, you may unintentionally pull it from the back, near the motor, which can lock it out and prevent it from reengaging. To properly lock the door back in, you need to pull the door down and forward, towards the outside of the garage, rather than pulling it towards the motor. This will allow the door to reengage properly and ensure it is securely locked in place.
